Barton
The aim was to launch a comprehensive website showcasing museums and art galleries across the DACH region, featuring up-to-date information on current and upcoming exhibitions. By aggregating essential cultural information in one place, we aim to become the go-to online destination for art lovers and cultural explorers.
The Barton Culture Collaboration
– A central hub for art enthusiasts.
Challenges
Situation:
Art and culture aficionados often face the tedious task of scouring individual museum websites for exhibition details, which may not always be current. This fragmentation of information across various platforms makes it challenging for enthusiasts to plan their cultural visits efficiently, often leading to missed opportunities to experience new exhibitions.
Challenges:
Our mission was to craft a singular, accessible online platform aggregating all museums and art galleries, simplifying the search for exhibitions by location or interest. Achieving this required not only technological innovation but also extensive collaboration with cultural institutions to ensure the platform offered comprehensive, accurate, and timely information.
Solution approach
Design:
We envisioned a sleek, intuitive website design that guides users effortlessly to their desired information, enhancing the overall user experience in discovering cultural events. Our design philosophy incorporated elements of visual storytelling, allowing users to engage with the cultural content in a more immersive and interactive way, deepening their connection to the art and exhibitions featured.
Development:
Leveraging WordPress, the site includes an innovative map feature that auto-detects user location, displaying nearby museums and galleries along with their featured exhibitions. This feature is complemented by advanced search filters, allowing users to refine their exploration based on specific interests, dates, and types of exhibitions, further personalizing the user experience.
Online Marketing:
A strategic online marketing plan focuses on social media buzz and influencer partnerships within the art and culture sphere, aiming to spotlight the Barton Culture Collaboration’s launch to a wide audience. In addition to social media and influencer outreach, the marketing strategy includes collaboration with cultural institutions for cross-promotion, significantly amplifying the platform’s visibility to an audience deeply invested in the arts.
Results
Objectives Achieved:
Early presentations to various museums and art galleries have sparked significant interest, signaling strong potential for customer engagement and satisfaction. This early enthusiasm from museums and galleries has also encouraged discussions around exclusive exhibitions and features, promising a rich and varied content pipeline that will continually attract and engage users.
Summary:
The Barton Culture Collaboration marks a pivotal step towards digitizing the traditional art and cultural sector, providing easy and fast access for users to discover local cultural events and exhibitions. This project not only showcases the potential for technology to enhance cultural engagement but also sets a new standard for accessibility and convenience in the art world.
